This was the central point driving the lively and interactive discussions at our workshop, "Integrating NGOs' Needs in Bioeconomy Policy and Governance in Europe," held on Wednesday, December 11, at APRE’s EU Liaison Office in Brussels.
Bringing together 12 dedicated participants from environmental NGOs and the European Commission, the workshop was an engaging exchange of perspectives from diverse backgrounds. Together, we tackled critical threats, challenges, needs, aims and objectives of environmental NGOs, and ways to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders to ensure NGOs’ voices are heard in EU decision-making processes.
The conversation reaffirmed the crucial role NGOs play in shaping a sustainable and inclusive bioeconomy: their insights are not just valuable—they are essential for developing policies capable of navigating the complexities of today’s environmental and societal challenges.
Thank you to all our participants for their incredible contributions!
