Last week the ShapingBio partners met in Ghent for the 2nd partner meeting from 19-20 April.

The meeting was hosted by Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, who were so kind to show the partners around at their pilot plant. During the two days, the partners had the chance to give updates on the progress so far including, sharing preliminary results from the 40 interviews that the members of the ShapingBio consortium have conducted with experts from academia, industry, public sector, and civil society, who are engaged in the field of bioeconomy and food systems. Also, there was time to engage in discussions and plan for future activities.

In addition, the partners were fortunate to be joined by 3 representatives from the European Commission at the meeting, which could indicate that there is great interest in the work ShapingBio is carrying out and the topic in general.
