The bioeconomy is central to Europe's sustainable development, offering innovative solutions to global challenges. The partners behind the EU-funded project ShapingBio are therefore pleased to announce the upcoming ShapingBio Summit “Empowering Europe: Leading the Deployment in the Bioeconomy," taking place on 25 June 2025 in Brussels.
A key event that gathers the brightest minds and most influential voices from the EU and national policy, industry, networks, and research to present and discuss the results and recommendations of the ShapingBio project.
With this summit the goal is to explore how to strengthen Europe’s international competitiveness and position it as a global leader in the bioeconomy. By aligning efforts, the aim is to develop a coherent and strategic approach to the bioeconomy, maximising the collective impact and securing Europe’s leadership in this field.
The ShapingBio Summit presents a compelling programme designed to spark dialogue, drive innovation, and strengthen collaboration across Europe’s bioeconomy. Among the key highlights is an inspiring keynote session, “This is the Future of the Bioeconomy”, where leading voices will share strategic perspectives on the sector’s trajectory.
The agenda also features three expert panel discussions addressing critical topics on: Coherent strategic approach to the bioeconomy, Shaping international competitiveness, and Higher innovation level across Europe. In the afternoon, participants will delve into competitiveness of the EU bioeconomy innovation chain through a series of insightful presentations and discussions.
The summit also includes dedicated one-to-one matchmaking sessions, offering valuable opportunities for networking and forging partnerships across policy, industry, and research communities.
