ShapingBio workshop: Action plans on how to improve bioeconomy policy

Date: 3 June 2025

Time: 10:00 – 12:00 a.m. (Berlin time)

Location: online

Calling all bioeconomy policy officers, decision-makers, and experts involved in bioeconomy policy development and implementation at the EU, national, or regional level! Join us for this online ShapingBio workshop and get inspired to further improve bioeconomy policies in your country or region.

More than 1,500 bioeconomy stakeholders and decision-makers from all over the EU gave their input and feedback to ShapingBio recommendations on how to improve bioeconomy policies and bioeconomy innovation ecosystems. These recommendations will be considered by the EC in the revision of the EU bioeconomy strategy.

Workshop participants will be informed about the recommendations. In moderated and interactive group discussions, participants will

  • identify recommendations with high relevance for their own area of responsibility (e.g. their country or region)
  • identify concrete activities to implement these recommendations in their own area of responsibility
  • learn from good practice of activities in other countries
  • identify actors and needs for support to put the recommendations into action
  • contribute to drafting an action plan

The workshop result is an action plan.

Why attend

  • Get inspiration on how to further improve bioeconomy policy in your country or region
  • Exchange with peers from other EU countries and regions about good practice and how to overcome anticipated hurdles
  • Draft an action plan on how to improve bioeconomy policy

Participation in this workshop is by invitation only
