From January to May 2024, a series of three workshops will be organised on how to improve bioeconomy policy coordination and governance.

Together with the ShapingBio team, a group of experts will engage in a co-creation process to gain a deeper understanding of what the currently key challenges in policy coordination and governance are and thereby derive good practice and recommendations for how they can be overcome. The focus will be on policy coordination within bioeconomy, between bioeconomy and other policy fields, and bioeconomy deployment in regions.

ShapingBio stands out from other EU-funded projects in its unique closeness and access to EU policy officers who develop the Strategic Deployment Agenda for the Bioeconomy in the EU, and also involves decision makers in the EU member states.

The multi-actor group on bioeconomy policy and governance consists of individuals with unique expertise in bioeconomy policy on EU, national, or regional level.
