Workshop

Good practice in bioeconomy policy coordination

Date: 19 November 2024

Time: 10:00 – 12:00 a.m. CET

Location: online

The cross-sectoral, transformative character of bioeconomy makes coordination of bioeconomy policy across different policy fields and ministries extraordinary challenging.

This workshop provides a forum for bioeconomy policy makers for exchange and mutual learning on bioeconomy policy coordination practices in their countries or regions. Prompted by results from the ShapingBio project on bioeconomy policy coordination, participants will engage in moderated discussions with the aim

  • to benchmark their own coordination approach against the approaches in other countries or regions
  • to identify strengths and weaknesses of the approaches
  • to learn from good practice of coordination in other countries and reflect its transferability to their own country or region
  • to give feedback to ShapingBio results
  • to voice their needs for support to improve bioeconomy policy coordination

The workshop results will feed into ShapingBio policy recommendations which will be considered by the EC in the revision of the EU bioeconomy strategy.
