Workshop

Central and Eastern Europe stakeholder workshop

Date: 26 October 2023

Time: 11:00 - 13:00 CET

Location: online

The workshop will refine the results of an earlier research undertaken on stakeholders’ needs related to the bioeconomy and a mapping exercise undertaken on initiatives, structures and key challenges in developing the bioeconomy within the Central and Eastern Europe region.

This workshop builds on desk-based research, a pan-European series of interviews and an online survey conducted as part of the EU ShapingBio project. The outcomes of this workshop will guide the future direction of the work and inform decision makers at European level.

Why attend?

  • Discuss the information needs of bioeconomy stakeholders across four areas (policy and governance; applied R&D and technology transfer; collaboration and financing)
  • Discuss key challenges in developing the bioeconomy within the Central and Eastern Europe region
  • Ensure that your needs and challenges are taken into account and to draw attention to any initiatives, structures and good practices being undertaken within the Central and Eastern Europe region that may not have been captured thus far.

Who is the workshop relevant for?

Academia, public sector, policy makers, industry and civil society.
